A comparative analysis of trajectory similarity measures

چکیده
Computing trajectory similarity is a fundamental operation in movement analytics, required search, clustering, and classification of trajectories, for example. Yet the range different but interrelated measures can be bewildering researchers practitioners alike. This paper describes systematic comparison methodical exploration measures. Specifically, this compares five most important commonly used measures: dynamic time warping (DTW), edit distance (EDR), longest common subsequence (LCSS), discrete Fréchet (DFD), (FD). The begins with thorough conceptual theoretical comparison. highlights similarities differences between connection six characteristics, including their handling relative versus absolute space, tolerance to outliers, computational efficiency. further reports on an empirical evaluation trajectories contrasting properties: data about constrained bus movements transportation network, unconstrained wading birds coastal environment. A set four experiments: a. creates measurement baseline by comparing single subjected various transformations; b. explores behavior network-constrained grouped based spatial temporal similarity; c. assesses respect known behavioral annotations (flight foraging oystercatchers); d. bird activity examine whether they are distinguishable solely patterns. results show that all instances both value ordering may sensitive choice measure. In general, were more able distinguish than differences. concludes high-level summary advice recommendations selecting using practice, conclusions spanning our three complementary perspectives: conceptual, theoretical, empirical.

the speech act of disagreement has been one of the speech acts that has received the least attention in the field of pragmatics. this study investigates the ways power relations, social distance, formality of the context, gender, and language proficiency (for efl learners) influence disagreement and politeness strategies. the participants of the study were 200 male and female native persian s...
15 صفحه اولMeasures of similarity among fuzzy concepts: A comparative analysis
Many measures of similarity among fuzzy sets have been proposed in the literature, and some have been incorporated into linguistic approximation procedures. The motivations behind these measures are both geometric and set-theoretic. We briefly review 19 such measures and compare their performance in a behavioral experiment. For crudely categorizing pairs o f fuzzy concepts as either "'similar" ...

efl/esl textbooks have been regarded as essential language teaching materials with which the learners spend about 70 up to 90 percent of their class time. the important role they play and their vast use make them not only influential in learning the language but also in shaping values and attitudes. put it another way, textbooks socialize learners using their contents (i.e. texts, illustrations...
15 صفحه اولAn Effectiveness Study on Trajectory Similarity Measures
The last decade has witnessed the prevalence of sensor and GPS technologies that produce a sheer volume of trajectory data representing the motion history of moving objects. Measuring similarity between trajectories is undoubtedly one of the most important tasks in trajectory data management since it serves as the foundation of many advanced analyses such as similarity search, clustering, and c...
